As per email from Christine Wooding, this cruise has been given the wrong expocode of 316N147_1. Correct leg should be _5. This can be confirmed from first line of doc file. Doc file also indicates that CTD data were taken (these have not yet been submitted, nor has a summary file). Also he/tr, del O18, and CO2 data were taken by separate funding organizations. Should we pursue these data at this time? Pickart needs to be querried on disposition of CTD and summary files. Index page has been edited to reflect correct expocode, editing of data base is needed at this time.

This file has headings, and flags. ( stn cast_no Niskin_no cfc-11 cfc-12 cfc-113 flags) where flags: 2 = acceptable 6 = mean of the replicate 9 = sample not drawn for this measurement from this bottle) I'm sorry that CCL4 in headings should BE replaced by CFC-113, that's a typo.

(Re: AR27: 316N147_1 (was KN147)) We recently received some files from Hoyle Lee and Bill Smethie that contained CFCs from the Knorr 1997 (Feb.) cruise. Bert Thompson suggested that it should be given the WOCE designation of AR27. Its expocode has been changed to 316N147_1 to reflect the correct NODC ship code and WOCE-style expocode. Please update all of your records and appropriate web pages.

We have the Kn147 CFC data nearly ready for submission. I don't know if this is considered an official WOCE cruise or not, but it will be used in the one-time survey CFC synthesis. The cruise was to the Labrador Sea in Feb-Mar 1997 and WHOI did the CTD work. I have gotten the latest version of the hydrographic data from WHOI and merged the CFC data with it so we could check the CFC data. My question to you: Is this an official WOCE data set and if so do you have the final hydrographic data? If this is the case, I will submit the CFC data to you to merge with it. If not I will place the version that we merged on John Bullister's website for the CFC PIs to use.
